Solar heaters -- a greener power option

Now we can produce Electricity and sell to Grid; obviously at some price.

In Bangalore the research and feasibility study is going on, where the opportunity to produce electricity from Solar Power is being considered.
Industries are considering to generate abundant power from Solar source and transfer to grid. This whole transaction is charged through two way metering system.

Pilot study is going on in Bangalore.

While a 10-MW solar thermal power plant -- probably India's first -- is already on the cards, solar photo-voltaics (PVs) will also be used in a big way so that companies, hotels, hospitals and households can sell solar power to the grid.

The Business Model can work like this:

For a 40 x 60 sqft house, 15% of the roof area for PV panels will be roughly 30 metre square. Approximately, 2 KWs can be generated from this with an investment of Rs 3 to 4 lakh.

Now this Power generated can be sold to Grid or to Local Consumers directly.
